WWE recently revealed the promotional poster for Night of Champions. It features top stars like Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Oba Femi, Becky Lynch, and Rhea Ripley, among others. Interestingly, Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan is also advertised for the event. The Miracle Kid has yet to defend her title since winning it at WrestleMania 42.

Night of Champions 2026 could feature some unexpected outcomes and surprise returns. Triple H & Co. have the chance to win back fans in Riyadh after some lackluster shows in recent months. In this article, we will make four early predictions for the upcoming premium live event.

#4. Seth Rollins could win the King of the Ring Tournament

The King of the Ring Tournament is highly unpredictable this year. From former world champions like Seth Rollins and Finn Balor to rising stars like Oba Femi and Trick Williams, the field is stacked with top contenders.

Given his dominant performances, many fans expect Oba Femi to win the prestigious competition this year. However, it might not happen after Brock Lesnar returned on the road to Clash in Italy. The Beast Incarnate destroyed Femi this past Sunday, laying the foundation for a third match.

Oba Femi is expected to continue his feud with Lesnar heading into SummerSlam 2026. Hence, the company might book Seth Rollins to win the tournament and set up a massive world title match.

The winner of the King of the Ring Tournament will face the world champion of their brand at SummerSlam 2026. If Rollins emerges victorious in the competition, he will likely earn a match against World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns.

Rollins and the OTC share a storied history. Fans have been eagerly waiting for a singles match between the two after their well-received Triple Threat bout at WrestleMania 41. SummerSlam is among WWE’s biggest premium live events of the year. The company could pull out all the stops to make it a memorable affair.

Rollins vs. Reigns has the potential to headline SummerSlam. It could prove to be a massive box-office draw if booked correctly. Hence, The Visionary could win the tournament at Night of Champions, possibly defeating Femi with the help of Brock Lesnar in the final.

#3. Bronson Reed could return at Night of Champions to attack Roman Reigns

Bronson Reed has been on the sidelines since sustaining an injury on the Road to WrestleMania 42. The Auszilla was among the top heels on RAW before he got hurt. He seemed destined to pursue the World Heavyweight Championship, but the injury hampered his momentum.

Reed and Roman Reigns were embroiled in a heated feud last year. The former NXT Women’s North American Champion even defeated the OTC in a one-on-one match at Clash in Paris. Reed has teased targeting Reigns many times in recent months.

SelfMadePW recently reported that Reed could be one of Reigns’ challengers for the World Heavyweight Championship this summer. The OTC is advertised for Night of Champions. However, it’s unclear who he will face on the show.

The Auszilla could return during Reigns’ match at Night of Champions and attack him. Reed could also assault The Bloodline to kick off a feud between the legendary faction and The Vision.

Reed’s potential attack on Reigns could set up a massive world title match. The duo could lock horns for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLV before SummerSlam 2026.

#2. IYO SKY could win the Queen of the Ring Tournament

IYO SKY defeated Giulia, Roxanne Perez, and Lash Legend in a first-round match of the Queen of the Ring Tournament this past Monday. She pinned The Beautiful Madness to advance in the tournament.

Much like the King of the Ring Tournament, the women’s competition is also unpredictable this year. However, SKY has a strong chance of going all the way and emerging victorious.

The Genius of the Sky hasn’t been featured in a prominent role on WWE TV for months. She was a side character in Rhea Ripley’s Women’s Championship pursuit on the Road to ‘Mania. Moreover, she didn’t have a match at The Show of Shows despite being embroiled in a heated feud with Asuka.

SKY settled her differences with Asuka after her huge win at Backlash 2026. She now seems ready to reclaim her spot at the top of the mountain. Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan currently lacks credible challengers. She will need a high-profile opponent for SummerSlam 2026 in August.

The former Damage CTRL member’s potential win in the Queen of the Ring Tournament could earn her a shot at Morgan’s gold. SKY and The Miracle Kid could engage in a classic babyface vs. heel feud for the championship ahead of The Biggest Party of the Summer.

SKY could revive her singles career with a win in the prestigious tournament after losing to stars like Kairi Sane and Raquel Rodriguez in recent months.

#1. Sami Zayn could turn heel on Cody Rhodes at Night of Champions

Cody Rhodes is currently feuding with Gunther over the Undisputed WWE Championship on SmackDown. The duo squared off in a title match this past Sunday at Clash in Italy. Interestingly, the bout had a controversial ending. Gunther’s foot was under the bottom rope when The American Nightmare pinned him following a Cross Rhodes.

The Undisputed WWE Champion retained his title, but the feud is far from over. On the Clash in Italy Post-Show, Rhodes offered another title shot to The Ring General. They could now face off at Night of Champions for the title.

Rhodes has a unique equation with Sami Zayn on SmackDown. They are good friends, but they have been seen arguing on many occasions in the past few months. On a recent edition of SmackDown, The Master Strategist refused to help The American Nightmare when Gunther attacked him.

Zayn later revealed that he wanted to teach Rhodes a lesson. The Prodigal Son didn’t seem pleased with the former United States Champion’s actions. All signs point toward The Master Strategist’s heel turn.

At Night of Champions, Zayn could finally embrace his dark side and backstab Rhodes during his title match against Gunther. The potential angle could set up a feud between Zayn and The American Nightmare.
