Furthermore, Shinsuke said that the MFTs need to remember who he is, “The King of Strong Style”. Importantly, Nakamura said he won’t be alone this time, adding that he’s no longer a one-man army.
The Japanese legend ended his promo by saying the MFTs are running out of time and that he and his mystery partner will show them who the real warriors are and who are only pawns.
“Tongans. MFTs. You think you’ve evolved. You have a new leader now. But you also have past enemies. you say you need to remember who you are. You are wrong. You need to remember, who I am. The King of Strong Style. The Artist known as Shinsuke Nakamura. I’m back and this time, I will not be alone. I’m starting a war and I’m no longer a one-man army. He and I make it clear who are warriors, and who are just pawns. Here is your warning. You are running out of time.”
Next week, The MFTs are set to be part of the triple threat tag team match against R-Truth & Damian Priest and War Raiders for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
As Nakamura has claimed, he won’t be alone; this could be the perfect time for his comeback and the reveal of his mystery partner.
Here are three stars who could be a part of Shinsuke Nakamura’s mystery new WWE partner:
#3 Hiromu Takahashi
Shinsuke Nakamura has previously been part of tag teams in the Stamford-based promotion, most notably alongside Rick Boogs.
However, Nakamura might seek help from his native Japan. Shinsuke is a certified legend in NJPW, as he had a memorable run in the promotion before he left to join World Wrestling Entertainment.
Hiromu Takahashi is a well-known name in the professional wrestling world. He made a name for himself competing at the highest level in NJPW. The latter wrestled his final match in the promotion early this year. Following his departure, reports suggested that he could be heading to WWE soon.
Given that The Time Bomb is also from Japan, there is a chance that The King of Strong Style could reveal Hiromu as his new partner, who would help him take over Friday Night SmackDown’s Tag Team division.
#2 Former WWE Universal Champion
Another major name who could join Shinsuke Nakamura in a war against The MFTs is none other than the inaugural WWE Universal Champion, Finn Balor, who was involved in a short-lived feud with The MFTs and was also outnumbered.
Balor and Nakamura have history in WWE. Also, the two teamed on WWE television in 2022 for an impromptu six-man tag team match on an episode of WrestleMania SmackDown, where Finn and Shinsuke teamed with Rick Boogs to take on The Usos and Austin Theory.
The Prince and the King of Strong Style may join forces to take on the common enemies and could begin their run in the tag team division.
#1 Ilja Dragunov
Dragunov has been missing from WWE television for months, with reports indicating that he has been involved in significant creative plans.
With Shinsuke Nakamura teasing a mystery partner, WWE definitely has an option to pair The Mad Dragon with the King of Strong Style. They both bring chaotic wrestling styles, and pairing them as a tag team could be a treat for the fans.
Hence, Ilja could also be a name, and a move into the tag team division alongside Shinsuke could help revive his momentum.
