It’s time for teams on the PGA Tour with this week’s Zurich Classic of New Orleans, the tour’s lone regular-season pair-up event. It starts with four-ball (best ball) on Thursday, before foursomes (alternate shot) for the second round. Then, one more of each, and we have ourselves some champions.
Last year, Griffin and Novak both won for the first time on the PGA Tour, edging out the Højgaard twins. It took a 35-foot birdie from Griffin on the 72nd hole to win by one stroke. Plus, Novak became the first golfer to lose in a playoff and triumph the following week since Patrick Cantlay in 2022.

Home of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans since 2007, this Pete Dye design exudes a flair of TPC Sawgrass with some more low-profile design features like hidden bunkers and green complexes that offer options on approach. Dye had help from fellow tour pros Steve Elkington and New Orleans native Kelly Gibson on this 7,400-yard par-72 layout. If you see some unusual numbers this week, don’t worry. The best-ball record is 58, set by Isaiah Salinda and Kevin Velo a year ago, and the alternate-shot record is 63, from a handful of teams, most recently by Chad Ramey and Martin Trainer in 2024.
Along with the teams above, we’re set to see many intriguing pairings, such as Michael Brennan and Johnny Keefer, Geoff Ogilvy and Cam Davis, Taylor Pendrith and Mackenzie Hughes and young-ins Blades Brown and Luke Clanton.
Each of this week’s winners will receive a $1,372,750 million cut of the $9 million purse and 400 FedEx Cup points.
