Paulo Henrique, right-back for Vasco, has been called up to defend the Brazilian National Team in the friendlies against South Korea and Japan.

He replaces Wesley, who was injured this Sunday (5) during Roma’s victory over Fiorentina.

This is the first call-up of Paulo Henrique’s career, at 29 years old.

He has played 47 games this season, with four goals and five assists. He has been with Cruz-Maltino since March 2023.

Sunday began with Ederson being cut and John, formerly of Botafogo, being called up.

Ancelotti had already lost the other right-back called up: Vanderson from Monaco. Vitinho from Botafogo was called up instead.

The Brazilian National Team will have its full delegation this Monday (6) and already in Seoul, the location of the friendly against the hosts next Friday (10).

Then, on the following Tuesday (14), Brazil will face Japan in Tokyo.

Hugo Souza, Fabrício Bruno, and now Paulo Henrique are not expected to defend their respective teams on Wednesday (15), the day marking the start of the 28th round of the Brasileirão.
