Rare occurrence: Lionel Messi bears some responsibility for his team’s drubbing.
While the score was 0-0, Miami was awarded a penalty. The Argentine logically decides to take it. Messi then initiates a panenka. Problem: the goalkeeper had anticipated this choice! He then calmly stops the star’s attempt.
Result? Charlotte scored just two minutes later!
