Hays added that Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio was discussed for SummerSlam 2025. However, Liv Morgan was injured, and the creative team needed all the major members of the faction to be active before Balor’s exit. Thus, the plans for the rivalry were pushed to the Road to WrestleMania 42.

Finn Balor is now alone in his feud with The Judgment Day. The Prince’s former mentee, JD McDonagh, also betrayed him last week on RAW. Meanwhile, Dominik has Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and The Irish Ace on his side in the rivalry on RAW.

Why did Dominik Mysterio betray Finn Balor?

A week before The Judgment Day betrayed Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio lost his Intercontinental Championship to Penta. During the title match, Dominik wanted to use a hammer to attack Cero Miedo and gain an advantage. However, Balor prevented McDonagh from handing over the weapon to The King of Luchadors.

The entire fiasco was one of the big reasons why “Dirty” Dom lost his title. This week on RAW, The Judgment Day confronted Balor in the ring. The tension between the teammates was visible, and Dominik ultimately shoved the former Universal Champion. The Prince dropped the 28-year-old with a Pele Kick before the heel stable backstabbed him.
