Ahead of tonight’s show, the promotion shared a video of Asuka and Kairi Sane walking backstage. IYO SKY was spotted in the background, teasing a potential Damage CTRL reunion in the future. Damage CTRL was a popular faction featuring Bayley, IYO SKY, Asuka, Kairi Sane, and former WWE star Dakota Kai.

IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley lost the Women’s Tag Team Championships to Lash Legend and Nia Jax last month on SmackDown. Rhea Ripley won the Women’s Elimination Chamber match and will be challenging Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.

AJ Lee returned to the promotion last year and is the reigning Women’s Intercontinental Champion. The Geek Goddess defeated Becky Lynch at Elimination Chamber 2026 to capture the title.

WWE star IYO SKY on keeping her wrestling career a secret in the past

IYO SKY revealed that she used to keep her career as a professional wrestler a secret.

Speaking on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, The Genius of the SKY revealed that her mother encouraged her wrestling career, but that it wasn’t the same case with her father. The former champion noted that her family was scared to tell her father of her wrestling aspirations, so it was kept a secret.

“My mother said, ‘Oh, yeah, that’s interesting, keep doing,’ like, ‘have fun’ or something like that. But we were so much scared to tell my father. So we kept secret me becoming a wrestler. He didn’t know,” she said.

It will be interesting to see which star wins the Gauntlet match tonight on RAW to earn a title shot against AJ Lee.
