Jade Cargill is one of the biggest female signings WWE has made over the past few years. The Storm jumped ship from AEW to WWE back in 2023 following a legendary TBS Championship reign in the company. She recently sent an emotional message to the current AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander on Instagram.
Cargill has been heavily featured on WWE programming ever since she joined the promotion. She is a former Women’s World Tag Team Champion and the winner of the 2025 Queen of the Ring tournament. She is currently feuding with the Women’s WWE Champion Tiffany Stratton.
Bayley recently posted a lot of pictures on her Instagram featuring a lot of her close friends. One of the pictures featured AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander holding her in her arms. Jade commented on the post calling Statlander as the best. Bayley also agreed with Jade’s comment.
“Stat is the best❤️” she wrote.
Jade and Statlander faced off in the Storm’s last match in the Jacksonville-based promotion. It’s great to see Jade Cargill still appreciate her friend despite the rivalry between their companies.
Jade Cargill recently turned heel on WWE SmackDown
Jade Cargill shocked her fans by turning heel on this past week’s episode of SmackDown. Tiffany Stratton faced Kiana James on the show and easily defeated her. Following the match, she was attacked by the Women’s US Champion Giulia.
Cargill came out to save the Women’s Champion but it eventually ended up being a ruse. She attacked Tiffany turning heel in the process. She was interviewed by Catchy Kelley backstage after the attack where she said this:
“Consequences? You only face them when you make mistakes. The only mistake I made was thinking that this world rewards patience. It rewards power. And I’m taking it, starting with the WWE Women’s Championship.”
It will be interesting to see what’s next for the Storm following her heel turn.
