Lee delivered several high-flying moves at the start of the bout. However, Gable held his own against the former World Tag Team Champion, displaying his in-ring prowess. At one point in the match, the Intercontinental Champion hit a picture-perfect Avalanche Olympic Slam on the fan-favorite luchador.
Chad Gable managed to score several near falls on Dragon Lee. Meanwhile, Lee continued to find a way to counter Gable’s power moves. Lee came incredibly close to winning the gold when he hit an Operation Dragon and a Styles Clash on Gable. In the end, the former Alpha Academy leader made the luchador tap out to the Ankle Lock.
