WWE star Kit Wilson has seemingly started a singles career. The star was in action on SmackDown this Friday night.
The SmackDown tag team division has taken some major hits over the last few weeks. Grayson Waller and Austin Theory seemingly ended their partnership, and a few months later, The Miz and Carmelo Hayes also had a falling out. This week, it seems Pretty Deadly has also split up, with Kit Wilson competing as a singles star. His tag team partner, Elton Prince, has been out of action with an undisclosed injury since June.
Kit Wilson came to the ring with new music and attire this week. This was a far cry from his tag team entrance with Elton Prince back in the day. When the tandem’s catchphrase “Yes Boy” was mentioned, WWE announcer Corey Graves also claimed it was old stuff, further hinting at a breakup. Wilson also took to social media to acknowledge the change in his character. He noted that he had new music and attire on the show this week.
Kit Wilson faced a loss on WWE SmackDown
This Friday on SmackDown, Kit Wilson faced Carmelo Hayes in a singles match. However, his singles career didn’t start with a victory.
He showed some initial brilliance, hitting a DDT on Hayes. The Miz showed up and tried to ambush Carmelo from behind, sending him into the ring post. This allowed Wilson to hit an elbow drop. However, Hayes kicked out and then nailed his opponent with the First 48 to win the match.
In the aftermath of the encounter, the A-Lister once again attacked Carmelo Hayes, further fueling their rivalry.
It will be interesting to see what lies ahead for Kit Wilson on the blue brand in the coming weeks.
