WWE referee Jessika Carr recently sustained a minor injury. She is on her road to recovery.
The 34-year-old is among the top female officials in the Stamford-based wrestling promotion. She has officiated in several high-stakes matches, including the main events of premium live events.
Jessika Carr recently took to Instagram stories to reveal that she had shin splints. She claimed that her training for a half marathon was halted due to the injury. Carr added that she took a rest, a recovery week, and was looking forward to getting back to training.
“Shin splints fun. 😩 Has put a dampen on ½ marathon training. Taken a drastic rest and recovery week and looking forward to getting back at it.” she wrote.

Jessika wrestled for about six years before signing as a referee with the global juggernaut in 2017. However, she returned to the squared circle earlier this year to compete in WWE Evolve under the ring name Kalyx. Unfortunately, she lost both the matches she wrestled in.
It will be interesting to see if Carr wrestles more matches in the future.
Jessika Carr calls out WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch
In one of the biggest upsets of the year, Maxxine Dupri defeated Becky Lynch via countout. To make matters worse for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, she followed it up by losing a title match to the Alpha Academy member via DQ.
Losing to Dupri has not sat well with the Irish-born, and she has been blaming the referee, Carr, for the losses. Jessika recently clapped back at Lynch. In her X/Twitter update, she called out Becky Lynch for bringing up her name regularly. She further mocked the 38-year-old for her losses against Maxxine Dupri.
“I don’t say a lot or stir up issues….but it’s wild that someone keeps talking about me….when all they’ve been doing is tapping out, getting counted out, and taking the easy way out by getting disqualified. But I’m the problem? 🤔,” Carr says.
Only time will tell if the fallout leads to a wrestling match between Carr and Becky Lynch in the future.
