WWE posted the segment on their official X page, where they also gave the Austrian a new name. The former Imperium leader was called Guntherhausen in the caption, which is not going to sit well with him, given his lack of patience with Danhausen.

Rising WWE star wants to face Gunther

Gunther has firmly established himself as one of the dominating superstars of the current era and is a dream match for many. Recently, NXT star Mason Rook also expressed his desire to stand across the ring from The Ring General. However, Rook mentioned that he would like to face the old, “heavier and bigger” version of the Austrian.

“I enjoy this new version of him. But personally, I would say, as someone who loves to be inspired by different wrestlers and look to take bits from, I would definitely say when Gunther was a bit heavier and bigger, I would say he was a lot more menacing. That is who I would want to be in there with. That’s who I looked at and was like, ‘Wow, this guy is someone who I should try to emulate,’” he said

The former Walter has already had a Hall of Fame-worthy career in a few years on the WWE main roster. The 39-year-old has retired Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles and is a multi-time world champion. However, he has not had much success since moving to SmackDown after WrestleMania 42.
