4. Jacob Fatu claims he could get released over his feud with Drew McIntyre

The Samoan Werewolf has become involved in a heated rivalry with Drew McIntyre over the past few weeks. On the latest edition of SmackDown, Fatu and McIntyre fell off a building in a wild segment. He recently appeared on the Bootleg Kev podcast and claimed he could get fired over his current feud:

“Even the company knows I will get released over this s**t, okay? [sic] Because if we really want to take it like that, we’re talking about taking food off my family’s table, okay? And in this company, you’ve seen it before — one loss. I just got here. There’s no way in hell I’m going down here.”

3. Has WWE subtly spoiled the identity of Randy Orton’s caller?

Orton was on the phone with someone who apparently knew him very well last week on RAW. The company has now released an article speculating about who it could be. Names mentioned include his father, Cowboy Bob Orton, Kevin Owens, Ric Flair and more.

However, it could also be a misdirection aimed at surprising the fans upon the reveal.

2. Big update on Cody Rhodes’ WWE future

After being attacked by his friend, Randy Orton on last week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes was forced to miss this week’s edition of the blue-branded show. The Viper cut a strong promo, explaining that it was Rhodes who motivated him to become the most lethal version of himself once again.

Now, the Stamford-based promotion has confirmed that the Undisputed WWE Champion will be returning to programming on the upcoming episode of SmackDown. It will be interesting to see how he responds to the betrayal and whether he comes to blows with Orton once again.

1. Potential reason behind Damian Priest and R-Truth winning the WWE Tag Team Championship

Damian Priest and R-Truth became the new tag team champions this week on SmackDown by defeating the MFTs. They received unexpected assistance from the Wyatt Sicks, who are also feuding with Solo Sikoa’s faction.

Now, the reason behind the title switch has seemingly been revealed. Tama Tonga was fined for uploading a video of a training session, and could likely be one of the reasons behind the MFTs losing the titles. Fans have pointed out the double standards of the company since they profit from showing backstage footage via Unreal, but have fined Tama Tonga for doing the same. Although there is no confirmation about the same, it seems like a plausible reason behind the title switch.
