“I’m not a fan of the Power Slap. It’s just asking for a concussion. We live enough of an aggressive existence to not put ourselves in harm’s way. If somebody tells me, hey man, that’s hot, don’t touch it, I’m not touching it. I don’t have to feel, smell my own flesh sizzle for me to get the message,” said Mark Henry [H/T – Wrestling News Co]

TMZ host Brason Quirk hilariously added that he still wanted Henry to slap someone at the WrestleMania week. The World’s Strongest Man gave a colorful warning for his opponent’s life.

“Have you ever seen a watermelon fall and hit the ground? That’s what it would look like,” added Mark Henry.

Mark Henry lauded Chris Jericho after his AEW return

Mark Henry was with AEW from 2021 to 2024 as a commentator and coach. In the same TMZ interview, he was asked to comment on Chris Jericho’s return to AEW. Henry then took the train on a different route, though beginning with the praise of Jericho.

“Chris Jericho is one of the top 10 greatest wrestlers ever. He evolved more than any wrestler. He stayed relevant in every decade that he’s competed in and always been at the top, and his mind for wrestling and what he does to enhance other people is unrivaled,” Mark said.

The point of talking highly of Chris was to state how Henry dealt with every situation. He claimed their careers don’t go the way they wish. However, Jericho is one of those stars who made the best out of opportunities and stayed at the top of his game.
