Irvin joined the promotion in 2021 and had a memorable tenure with the company. During her stay, she became a hit among the fans due to her high-energy intros for wrestlers and an emotional investment in storylines as a ring announcer.

However, in 2024 she parted ways with the company, citing differences over her future in the promotion. She said the promotion saw no other role for her besides ring announcing, while she wanted to be an on-screen manager or a general manager.

Since leaving the wrestling promotion, Irvin has gone back to her music roots and last year released a single, “Make Me.” Speaking on Duke Loves Rasslin, D-Von praised Samantha Irvin, saying he respects that she left the WWE machine and pursued what she wanted.

“What I like about her, and I’ve got so much respect for, is she left WWE. She left the machine to go out there and pursue it without them. And I say that because a lot of people can’t do that. They leave that machine, they fail,” he said.

D-Von then called Irvin an incredible talent and said he wished WWE did more with her.

“She’s an incredible talent, and, you know, damn, I wish WWE could have did something with her,” she added.

Samantha Irvin has teased coming back to wrestling after WWE exit

Since leaving WWE, Samantha Irvin is waiting for her non-compete clause to expire. Following her exit in 2024, she is bound by a two-year non-compete clause.

This means that this year in October, she would be free to take up other wrestling roles. Earlier this year, a fan on social media complimented her work on the mic, and the 37-year-old teased returning to the squared circle.

She thanked the fan for supporting her and promised to bring more “gusto” when she returns on the mic to manage a talent.
