“Work through the pain, baby. You worked too hard to get here to have to give it up. That would not be poetic justice at all. Put the face mask on, go out there, and work. It’s just a part of the game,” he said. (H/T: Ringside News)

Rhea Ripley defeated Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42 to become WWE Women’s Champion. However, The Eradicator has undergone knee surgery and will be out of action for the foreseeable future. Chelsea Green teamed up with Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton this past Friday on SmackDown in a losing effort to Women’s Tag Team Champions Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid.

Chelsea Green admits that she thought winning the WWE Women’s Championship was out of reach

Chelsea Green recently shared that she didn’t think she was ever going to capture a major title in the promotion.

Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show, Green stated that she had accepted that she would never win a major title before her surprise victory at SummerSlam 2026.

“When I dreamt of it, it was so farfetched, it was ‘I hope this happens, I wish it would happen, but it probably won’t’, and I had come to terms with that too. I’ve come to terms with the fact I done enough to make myself and my future family proud. Then when it happened, it was so much better. Every face in the crowd was smiling, everyone was cheering, everyone was screaming, I heard my mom from across the ring like ‘get up Chels!’ I heard it all,” she said. (H/T: WrestleTalk on X)

Chelsea Green confirms that she suffered a broken orbital bone on SmackDown “It feels frustrating. I’m upset. I feel like if I didn’t have bad luck, I’d have no luck at all. I just need to take a little bit more time to process.” (IG)

It will be interesting to see how Green’s untimely injury impacts her reign as WWE Women’s Champion.
