WWE has yet to officially announce the location for WrestleMania 42, but a mix of backstage chatter and reported developments suggests that Las Vegas is the most likely destination, though, as always in WWE, nothing is set in stone until it’s made public. After all, the show was once confirmed for New Orleans, announced by The Rock himself on SmackDown in February 2025. In the TKO era, is anything really certain?

WWE, creatively led by Triple H, is reportedly in the final stages of securing Las Vegas as the host city, with the Las Vegas Convention Center playing a key role in negotiations. Per WrestleVotes, the global juggernaut reportedly wants to replicate the same event model that made WrestleMania 41 the highest-grossing WWE event in history. TKO, WWE’s parent company, was initially hesitant to lock in Vegas due to issues with venue space at Mandalay Bay, but those concerns now appear to be resolved.

These reports follow various others from reliable sources over the past few weeks that also point to Vegas. Las Vegas holds internal appeal due to its marketability, infrastructure, and close ties to TKO leadership, many of whom are based in the area. The synergy between WWE’s vision for The Showcase of The Immortals and Las Vegas’ tourism-driven economy made this year’s show a blockbuster economic success, making a return highly appealing, although fan reactions to these rumors have been mixed.

London has publicly shown interest, with Mayor Sadiq Khan publicly advocating for bringing The Grandest Stage of Them All to the city, with a new appeal as recently as this week, made while speaking at the SXSW London 2025 conference with CNBC. In fact, Indianapolis was promised a future WrestleMania as part of a broader agreement with the city, expected to come to fruition in the near future, and Saudi Arabia has also been angling for one for quite some time.

WWE to take WrestleMania 42 to Saudi Arabia?

Adding further intrigue to the conversation, a report via WrestleIsh recently claimed that WWE had struck a $150 million deal to bring WrestleMania 42 to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the announcement expected at Night of Champions later this month.

Rumors regarding the Saudi administration’s interest in The Show of Shows heading to the country have been rampant for years, and they gained a lot of fuel (pun intended) once New Orleans was stripped of the WrestleMania 42 hosting rights a few weeks ago.

The possibility certainly can’t be ruled out, especially after Saudi Arabia secured the Royal Rumble 2026. While Las Vegas remains the frontrunner, WWE’s expanding global ambitions and lucrative partnership with Saudi Arabia make a Saudi-hosted ‘Mania very likely, with the first one now possible as early as next year.

It would, of course, mark a historic first—taking WWE’s biggest show of the year outside North America, as well as only the third WrestleMania outside the United States and the first since WrestleMania X8.

So, while Money in the Bank is around the corner and set to take place in Los Angeles this Saturday, it seems that there is something even more in demand than the MITB briefcases right now, and that is hosting The Show of Shows and the “Money in the Bank” that the Sports Entertainment juggernaut brings to major cities and countries around the world, given the proven potential of the event as an economy booster.
