Wales will have two new representatives on the Ladies European Tour (LET) in 2026 after Luca Thompson and Ffion Tynan came through Final Qualifying School in Morocco.

Thompson, 23, finished 30th, while 22-year-old Tynan made the top 50 based on final round countback.

Those placings mean the duo will move from amateur to professional golf having secured category 16 status, which will get them into many LET events.

Thompson’s home club is Pavenham Park in Bedfordshire, but she has represented Wales in amateur golf because her father is from Pembrokeshire.

Tynan, from the Pyle and Kenfig club, has been involved with Wales Golf squads for more than a decade.

“Congratulations to Luca and Ffion from everyone at Wales Golf for them earning status on the LET. We look forward to following their progress in future years,” said Wales Golf director of high performance and pathway Gareth Jenkins.

Thompson and Tynan will aim to emulate former Wales international Darcey Harry, who has enjoyed a fine debut season on the LET after finishing second in Morocco this time last year.

The 2026 LET season starts in February in Saudi Arabia.
