A hole-in-one is cool but the more rare shot in golf is the albatross. Max McGreevy joined the exclusive club of golfers who have made a 2 on a par-5 hole on the PGA Tour.
Some may call it a double eagle, but whatever you call it, it’s always fun to see.

It came in the early going on Sunday during the final round of the 2026 Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches.
McGreevy was 246 yards out on the par-5 third hole. After hitting his drive 292 yards, he hit a nice, high draw with his second shot, his ball landing on the green, bouncing a few times and then rolling straight to towards the pin and in for his first albatross.
McGreevy then got the biggest grin on his face before high-fiving his caddie. That got him to 3 under. He later birdied the sixth to get to 4 under. Shane Lowry and Austin Smotherman are the 54-hole co-leaders at 13 under.
