The Usos already teased saying something about it to CM Punk, and in the main event segment, they confronted him and demanded an apology. Jey Uso was predictably angry and on the edge, while Jimmy Uso, explaining that he respected CM Punk, said it had nothing to do with Roman Reigns and everything to do with respect. He gently but firmly demanded an apology, but the World Champion only said he was sorry that the two were controlled by Roman Reigns for so long. After a heated exchange of words, The Usos would strike Punk down, humbling him as they walked away angrier than ever in the close of the show.
Punk argued that a few years ago, when Reigns insulted the late great Dusty Rhodes, he was never held accountable or asked to apologize. Still, there was very clearly a portion of the crowd that felt that The Usos were right in their sentiment that it had nothing to do with Roman Reigns.
Punk also recalled a story of being guided in his early days by the great Afa Anoa’i, the grandfather of The Usos. It’s safe to say that there is little love and respect held between The Usos and Punk.
