“We went and Mandy [Rose] and I went and wrestled at SummerSlam three days after. Vince McMahon called, I called Vince and I was like, ‘Hey sir, you might see this on the news. This just happened.’ He was like, ‘Oh my God, what do you need?’ And he was actually very helpful. But then he wanted to cancel our SummerSlam match. And having a singles match at SummerSlam would have been, that was my biggest feat up until that point. And so I was like, ‘Absolutely not.’ So I begged him, and it was this whole long thing, but I begged him not to cancel it. And so we had our SummerSlam match three days later ,” Berenato detailed.
