This means that Ripley could be sidelined until The Royal Rumble, and Chelsea Green has been forced to step into her place. Following her first SmackDown as the Interim Women’s World Champion, Chelsea Green was injured, revealing that she had suffered a broken orbital bone.

The Women’s Champion shared the video on Instagram, and along with all the get-well-soon messages from WWE stars, Rhea Ripley also reacted to the update, sharing a like.

It’s unclear what this means, since it seemed that Ripley was happy that Green was the one chosen to replace her while she was out injured, but is now aware that WWE could have a crisis on its hands on SmackDown.

Rhea Ripley will be out of action for several months

Rhea Ripley is expected to be sidelined for around six months, which means that WWE will be hopeful that Chelsea Green won’t be out of action for long.

Green noted that her future is unclear, but it will be interesting to see if WWE is able to extend her current storyline so she doesn’t have to wrestle for a few weeks. Luckily, this has happened at a decent time since there is eight weeks until the company’s next PLE, which means that Green wouldn’t have to defend her title until then.

She also has the option of working with Tiffany Stratton until she’s able to wrestle herself, since Stratton is the Women’s United States Champion and initially she was the woman who replaced Rhea Ripley.

WWE chose for Stratton to step up in Saudi Arabia for Night of Champions, before they were able to work out a solution in the long run. She could be the person WWE look to again until Green is able to compete again.
