According to a recent report by Fightful, Chris Jericho is highly unlikely to return to WWE tonight at Elimination Chamber, as the former World Heavyweight Champion is still under contract with AEW and is listed on the company’s roster page. The report also highlighted that Jericho’s contract was extended because he has been on a hiatus from in-ring competition since April 2025.

WWE personality believes Chris Jericho is in the mystery crate

During a recent edition of his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE RAW personality Sam Roberts said that he believes Chris Jericho is in the mystery crate.

Roberts added that his pick was an obvious one, but he felt it made sense because Y2J will get an incredible reaction from the crowd.

“Look, I’ve said, I think it’s Jericho. Jericho is my pick for what’s in the crate. It’s a little bit of an obvious one, it’s a little on the nose, I think, but it just makes all the sense in the world, and it would get the reaction,” Roberts said.

Chris Jericho has been touring with his music band around the world since he went on a hiatus from AEW. It will be interesting to see if the former World Heavyweight Champion will return to the Stamford-based promotion at Elimination Chamber 2026.
