Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka again battle for UFC light heavyweight gold at UFC 303 on Saturday, June 29. The fight, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as part of International Fight Week, airs on ESPN+ PPV.

The last time the two fought was at UFC 295. Pereira beat Prochazka for the then-vacant UFC light heavyweight title. A former champion, Prochazka relinquished the light heavyweight title because of injury. He fought for the first time in 17 months and lost via second-round TKO.

The Czech looks to avenge the loss and will look at the same game plan he had but couldn’t utilize before against Pereira.

“I saw that fight many times, but I will not change anything,” Prochazka said via MMA Junkie. “I want to do the same right now, this Saturday. I want to do the same, but much better. I want to be more precise in the details, watch the calf kicks just a little bit and win, just win.”

A former UFC middleweight champion, Pereira’s victory against Prochazka made him the fastest fighter to win titles in two divisions (736 days/7 fights). The stoic nature of “Poatan” and his vicious shots make him an intimidating figure. Prochazka does not fear Pereira or the “spirits” he claims he uses to win fights.

Pereira believes Prochazka hasn’t found his yet to achieve victory.

“Well, everybody has their own spirits; we’re not only made of flesh and bone, I’ve found mine. If he has not found his, or if he does not believe, it’s not my fault,” Pereira said via Bloody Elbow.
