The Giants’ offense suffered another massive blow on Sunday, losing rookie Cam Skattebo to a gruesome ankle injury.

Skattebo already underwent surgery in Philadelphia and is expected to be back at full strength next season, barring any setbacks along the way, but for now, Big Blue will have to look for answers on how to replace his production.

Alongside fellow rookie Jaxson Dart, the youngster stepped in and provided a tremendous spark for the offense when they needed it most following their 0-3 start to the season.

Skattebo was an absolute force, and he finished with a team-high seven touchdowns.

It’s never easy to replace a player who provides as much of an energy boost as he does for this team both on and off the field, but the Giants do have strong options behind him.

Devin Singletary is expected to see some more time, but second-year back Tyrone Tracy Jr. will likely shoulder the bulk of the workload over the next few weeks.

Having served as the top back during his rookie campaign and at the beginning of this year, Tracy is confident in his ability to carry the weight once again.

“However the opportunity presents itself, you have to take advantage of it,” he said. “Like last year when Motor got injured, it’s kind of the same thing — I’m going to go out and do my job to the best of my ability, whether I get the ball three times or I get the ball 50 times.

“I want everyone to understand that when I hit that field, my energy, my passion, the way I handle myself, and just the way I approach the game, I want it to be felt. Whether you're here at the game or watching it on TV, I want you to feel number 29 on the field.”

Tracy totaled 1,123 yards and six touchdowns over his 17 appearances last season.

He rushed just 15 times for 39 yards over his first two starts this season.
