Seth Meyers found a fair way to analyze why President Donald Trump attended an LIV golf tournament event at his Doral course in Miami on Thursday.
“I guess he needed to do something where low numbers are good,” the host snarked, as a downward stock market graph appeared on the screen.
Trump has reportedly spent the majority of weekends as president so far in Florida for golf and other activities. But this weekend will be the first since his so-called “liberation day” tariff announcements tanked global exchanges.
As of HuffPost’s last published count on March 29, his second-term golf-playing tab for taxpayers surpassed $26 million.
