Aleister Black and Zelina were spotted in the background of a backstage promo

After taking the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes, Pat McAfee and Randy Orton got into a pickup truck and headed out of the arena. However, fans noticed Black and Zelina in the background.

WWE has become much more intentional with the people they have backstage in promos, and this could have been another case of a carefully crafted tease.

The Dutch Destroyer wanted Orton to embrace his true self during their brief feud earlier this year

Aleister Black had a brief feud with Randy Orton before the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. Although nothing much came of it, the former AEW star clearly wanted the merciless version of The Viper to be unleashed.

While he had no role in Orton reverting to his heel character, their presence backstage could be a sign that The Viper might now be in cahoots with the two. And that might prove to be his trump card in the main event of WrestleMania 42 Night One.

Black and Vega could help Randy Orton win his 15th world title

It is unlikely that WWE will actually let Pat McAfee walk away if Randy Orton fails to win his 15th world title at WrestleMania 42. Instead of letting Cody Rhodes lose because of interference from Pat McAfee, WWE could have Orton win after Black reveals himself to be part of a new alliance with The Viper.

This could eventually lead to Rhodes joining forces with Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano, or Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green to battle Orton’s new alliance.
