However, the last three weeks have been utterly baffling. Gunther has been completely absent from Monday Night Raw. Not a backstage segment, not a vignette, not a storyline injury. Radio silence for the third straight week despite WrestleMania 42 looming on the horizon. The superstar Triple H hand-picked to bury legends now has zero direction, zero momentum and zero storyline heading into the biggest show of the year.

WWE reportedly had plans to do Gunther vs. Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 42. However, Mysterio is currently dealing with an injury and the company has no backup plans for The Ring General. Triple H messed up his favorite superstar’s push weeks ahead of the grand annual event. This isn’t just poor planning; it’s a massive creative fiasco. There are no excuses for it.

WrestleMania is regarded as the Super Bowl of sports entertainment. Every big name on the roster is locked for high-profile matches. Meanwhile, the guy who literally retired three of the most remarkable names in wrestling history is sitting at home directionless and clueless. Triple H built the rocket ship, strapped Gunther in, lit the fuse and then walked away from the launchpad.

Triple H has one way to put Gunther on the WrestleMania 42 card

Gunther is currently directionless for the biggest event of the year, and this is quite appalling. With Rey Mysterio sidelined, the Austrian neither has a legend to retire, nor does he fit in any title picture at this point. However, Triple H has one option on the table and that is booking him in a singles match with LA Knight at WrestleMania 42.

The Megastar is currently haunting The Vision and has become a thorn in their path. Meanwhile, The Vision has been struggling to get rid of him because Logan Paul and Austin Theory are busy with The Usos, while Brock Lesnar is dealing with Oba Femi. Paul Heyman could pull off a masterstroke by revealing Gunther as his trump card against LA Knight.

The Wiseman could confront Knight on an epsiode of RAW and state that he has someone who could take care of the latter. Right after that, The Ring General could come out from backstage and unleash havoc on The Megastar. WWE could later reveal that Paul Heyman signed a small pact or sought a favor from Gunther, which is to take care of LA Knight for him.

This way, Triple H could put The Ring General on the card for WrestleMania 42 by booking him in a singles match with Knight. Meanwhile, this will also help The Defiant One since he is also directionless for The Show of Shows at this point. Therefore, it would be a win-win situation for WWE.
