There’s some serious Ryder Cup flair atop the leaderboard at the 2025 DP World India Championship.

Holding a one-shot lead at 12 under is Tommy Fleetwood after his bogey-free, eight-birdie 64 in the second round at Delhi Golf Club in New Delhi, India.

Giving chase at 11 under is 2025 European Ryder Cup teammate Shane Lowry, who’s tied with American Brian Harman.

Fleetwood, who won on the PGA Tour for the first time when he claimed the Tour Championship, earning him the title of 2025 FedEx Cup Champion, was four shots back of Lowry when the second 18 started. Fleetwood seeks his eighth DP World Tour victory.

“I played better than yesterday, I think. I wasn’t happy with how I hit it towards the end yesterday,” Fleetwood said. “I hit some balls afterwards, and I felt like today the swing was in a better place. I hit it in the fairway a lot today and from there just gave myself the chance to hit some nice irons in and putted well as well for the second day in a row.”

Lowry posted a 69 on Friday while Harman shot 65. Keita Nakajima is solo fourth at 10 under. Another 2025 Ryder Cupper, Ben Griffin of the U.S., is tied for seventh.

While pro golf golf tends to favor the longest hitters these days, that’s not necessarily the case this week at New Delhi Golf Club, a course that features several tight fairways.

“It’s just such a unique challenge for all of us,” Fleetwood said. “I haven’t hit more than a 5-wood. The one hole where I’d hit more is 18, but you get to that and you’re like, ‘well, I haven’t hit one, and I don’t really feel that comfortable with it.'”

Rory McIlroy is also in the field and while he’s tied for 17th, six shots back, he did produce one of the best highlights Friday.
