Liverpool are set for big changes this summer. We’ve already seen Caoimhin Kelleher and Trent Alexander-Arnold depart while Jeremie Frimpong and Armin Pecsi have come in.

But the alterations won’t end there. Sporting director Richard Hughes and head coach Arne Slot have got plans to UPGRADE several positions in the transfer window ahead.

We could soon see a new left-back arrive in the shape of Milos Kerkez – and Florian Wirtz will shortly be confirmed as a new Liverpool player.

In order to accommodate the new arrivals, however, some outgoings will be required. Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota could both be on their way out as the club source a new No9 and there is uncertainty over Slot’s current array of wingers too.

Chiesa could be set for exit

It appears that Luis Diaz’s future is hanging in the balance amid transfer interest from Barcelona and Al-Nassr. Ben Doak, meanwhile, could be sacrificed in order to generate much-needed spending money.

But perhaps the most likely candidate to leave is Federico Chiesa. The Italian, 27, was signed from Juventus for around £12.5m less than a year ago but has endured a season to forget on Merseyside.

Having failed to push his way into Arne Slot’s plans, Chiesa concluded the season with only SIX Premier League appearances to his name. Although the winger picked up a winner’s medal, it’s been a frustrating campaign.

And it’s led to suggestions that the Euro 2020 champion could be moved on now that it’s at an end.

Chiesa considers this adventure OVER

There is no shortage of interest – with clubs in Serie A and LaLiga reported to have expressed interest. That was also the case back in January when a homesick Chiesa was first tipped for an early exit.

Napoli, Roma, AC Milan and Inter Milan are reckoned to be among the strongest suitors for Chiesa – who is under contract at Anfield until 2027.

And in an item discussing Napoli’s transfer business this summer, it was revealed by Caught Offside that Chiesa knows his Liverpool days are OVER.

“A year ago, [Antonio] Conte had shown interest in Federico Chiesa, who was on his way out of Juventus,” a report reads. “However, there was no negotiation at the time. After a season with little playing time at Liverpool, Chiesa considers his English adventure over.”

It remains to be seen whether the Italian title-holders come forward with an offer and Chiesa’s wage demands have scuppered previous interest from Serie A.
