Tiger Woods recently answered a question about which golf course he would like to play for the first time.
However, Woods made an interesting revelation about wanting to return to an iconic course that he has already played many times.

The 15-time major champion told Jordan Spieth that he has always wanted to play the Old Course at St Andrews in a completely different way.
Tiger Woods wants to play St Andrews backwards
Tiger Woods has not only played at St Andrews, but he won the Open Championship there in 2000 and 2005.
He even competed at the ‘Home of Golf’ as recently as 2022, when Cameron Smith won the Claret Jug.

But Woods has always been fascinated by a unique tradition at St Andrews that he has yet to experience.
“It’s a cool place, and you know this, but one time a year, they play it backwards,” he said in conversation with Spieth.

“They play from 1 to 17 green, 2 to 16 green, 3 to 15 green. I’ve always wanted to play it that way.
“And if you look at how the golf course is set up, it sets up for openings into all of those holes.”
Spieth, who also knows about the option of playing St Andrews backwards, replied: “The Sunday pin on 17 is actually a way cooler pin from 1.”
Woods added: “I know, right. Exactly! The golf course is very ingenious in how it’s set up.”
The widely regarded greatest golfer of all time has done almost everything in the game, but he still has St Andrews on his bucket list.
When Tiger Woods could return to professional golf
Tiger Woods could potentially return to competitive golf in either of Jupiter Links’ two upcoming TGL matches.

Jupiter will play against Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common on Sunday, March 1, and against The Bay Golf Club on Tuesday, March 3.
Alternatively, Woods refused to rule out an appearance at The Masters in April. Tiger made the cut at Augusta when he last played there in 2024.
This would be an even greater challenge, but Woods has never been one to shy away from those throughout his career.
