With Tiger still recovering from multiple injuries, fans are wondering when he might make his return.

The legend made an appearance on the CBS broadcast at the Genesis Invitational and revealed his thoughts on the matter.

Tiger Woods addresses playing in 2026 Masters

Jim Nantz began to ask Tiger if he would be at Augusta this year. Woods, in a coy manner, said he would be there which is custom for former winners.

Then the conversation got more serious.

Trevor Immelman went straight for the truth. He asked if there is a possibility Tiger could play in this year’s Masters tournament.

His answer was short, but positive.

The questions continued with speculation about Woods playing in a tournament before April when the Masters tees off.

“I don’t know,” Tiger said.

It follows the answer Woods gave earlier this week.

“I’m trying [to come back], put it that way,” Woods said earlier this week in a press conference. “The disc replacement has been one thing. It’s been a challenge to — I’ve had a fused back and now a disc replacement, so it’s challenging.”

Along with the disc replacement, Woods, 50, is battling a ruptured Achilles he suffered last March.

It’s good news for the golf world that Tiger is not closing the door on a potential return. Yet he’s still not declaring he is healthy enough to play.

It’s a thin tightrope but for now, fans of the five-time Master champion will have to wait and see if he can make an improbable comeback.
