Tiger Woods’ ex-wife Elin Nordegren is “concerned” for the golfer following his DUI crash in Florida on Friday, a source tells PEOPLE.
“The kids are close with Tiger, so of course Elin cares too,” the source tells PEOPLE. “She wants him to be well. Both kids are great and love spending time with their dad. Elin’s concerned that he had another car crash and got arrested.”
Nordegren, 46, and Woods, 50 — who were divorced in 2010 after six years of marriage — share daughter Sam, 18, and son Charlie, 17.
Woods was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) in Jupiter Island, Fla. on March 27 after he clipped a pickup trailer and rolled over his Range Rover. The 15-time major champion has previously being involved in other car accidents.

In 2021, he sustained serious injuries in a crash in Los Angeles that required surgery, and he was also involved in a separate incident in 2009, also near his Florida residence amid his breakup with Nordegren.
“His recovery from the crash [in 2021] in California was brutal,” the source tells PEOPLE. “[Elin] just wants him to make the best choices for himself. It’s about his health and being there for the kids.”
Woods and Nordegren were seen smiling alongside their son last month when Charlie received his golf state championship title ring in a ceremony at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
Last week, Woods shared an update about his rehabilitation progress, ahead of the iconic Masters tournament on April 9. In October, he underwent his seventh surgery on his back, and he ruptured his Achilles one year ago.
“I said I’ve been working on it,” he told reporters at the time. “Sometimes I have good days, sometimes I have bad days. Disc replacement is not a lot of fun.”
Days before his most recent crash, Woods returned to competitive golf for the first time since June 2024.
At the TGL finals last week, the 82-time PGA Tour winner played with his Jupiter Links team on Tuesday, March 24 at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
The father of two had support from girlfriend Vanessa Trump, who was on hand, along with her daughter Kai, 18, and Chloe, 11, whom she shares with ex-husband Donald Trump Jr.
The two shared a hug and kiss before the match, which Woods’ team went on to lose to the Los Angeles Golf Club, 9-2.
