Legendary golfer Tiger Woods was involved in a car crash in Florida on Friday, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office told WPTV.

The scene of the crash, which occurred on Jupiter Island on the east coast of Florida, showed a vehicle on its side.

Woods has been involved in highly publicized car crashes in the past, from an infamous 2009 collision with a tree near his home to a serious 2021 crash that left him with severe injuries.

12:30 p.m.: In the full police report obtained by TMZ, Woods was reportedly “sweating profusely” despite the air conditioning flowing in his car. After removing his sunglasses during the investigation, Woods had eyes that appeared “bloodshot and glassy,” and his pupils were “extremely dilated.” Police also asked Woods if he takes any medication, at which point Woods said he takes “a few.”

9:30 a.m.: TMZ reports that Woods had two hydrocodone pills on him at the time of the crash, and that Woods claims he was distracted by his cell phone and radio.

12:20 p.m.: The New York Post reported that Woods was “driving like a bat out of hell” as he left his Florida enclave on Friday afternoon. Citing a report from The Daily Mail, Woods has a reputation as something of a reckless driver.

“The guy is a terrible driver … he drives like a bat out of hell very often on a road where lawn services are parked with heavy equipment,” a former employee of the golf icon told The Daily Mail.

3:45 p.m.: Eyewitnesses told TMZ Sports that two cars appeared to be involved in the collision. No one appeared to be seriously injured, with TMZ Sports reporting that Woods appeared to look “okay” at the scene.
