Fatu delivered a Spike to D’Angelo and went for the cover, but Waller dragged the official out of the ring. Waller took out Fatu with a Splash off the top rope and through the announce table. Montana hit the Spin the Block, but Waller shoved him aside and pinned D’Angelo to become the new NXT Champion.

Zilla Fatu debuted on NXT earlier this month and has already made an impact. He is the son of WWE legend Umaga and is a cousin of Jacob Fatu and The Usos. D’Angelo captured the title in April and had an impressive title reign before it came to an end at Heatwave.

Grayson Waller returned to NXT last month after a stint on the main roster. He was in a tag team with Austin Theory on the main roster, known as A-Town Down, and the duo won the WWE Tag Team Championships by winning a ladder match at WrestleMania 40.

Popular WWE star claims nobody wants Grayson Waller as NXT Champion

WWE RAW star Je’Von Evans recently suggested that nobody wanted to see Grayson Waller as NXT Champion.

Grayson Waller cut a heated promo during his return to WWE NXT and suggested that the male locker room was soft. In an interview with The Wrestling Classic, Evans claimed that The Arrogant Aussie was just being real, but added that he didn’t want to see him win the title.

“I mean, he was being real, he was being honest, you feel me? I feel like the roster, they try and do their thing, but the women are going crazy right now, especially in NXT, you feel me? So I really hope that woke up the men’s roster because if it didn’t, then Grayson is going to have to take over and become champion. I feel like nobody really wants that,” he said.

It will be interesting to see how long Grayson Waller can hang onto the NXT Championship moving forward.
