Last day of major golf for…

Two-hundred and sixty-four days! That’s a long wait until the Masters in April, am I right? So, let’s enjoy the final round of the 153rd Open Championship. If you’re of the mindset that this thing already over and Scottie Scheffler with a four-stroke lead has the Claret Jug on ice, let’s remember this: his three-stroke lead at Quail Hollow had disappeared by the turn. He flipped the switch and won his third major but playing with a big lead is easier said than done. Phil Mickelson, Shane Lowry and Viktor Hovland are among the big names already on the course playing out the string. Here’s a list of the Featured Groups on Sunday:

Jordan Spieth & Romain Langasque – 4:30am ET

Akshay Bhatia & Jon Rahm – 6:10am

Ludvig Aberg & Kristoffer Reitan – 8:05pm

Rasmus Hojgaard & Robert MacIntyre – 8:40pm

Final-round weather report

Some fine weather forecast for the final day of the 153rd Open. While there is a small chance of some drizzly showers in the morning, conditions are expected to stay dry and bright in the main. Some clouds may move in as we head towards the evening. Light winds for the most part, with gusts of up to 15mph later in the day. It should be another short-sleeve day — apply sunscreen! — with a high temperature expected to be 70 degrees.
