NASCAR is adding some excitement to the second half of the season with an in-season tournament.
The NASCAR Mexico City race was the second of three seeding races for the 32-driver in-season tournament. The drivers qualified for the tournament by their point standings after the Nashville race.
Seeding is determined by the best finish between the Michigan, Mexico City and Pocono races. Tiebreakers will be settled via the points standings post-Pocono.

When does NASCAR in-season tournament start?
The NASCAR in-season challenge begins June 28 at EchoPark Speedway in Atlanta. Each round will be one race, ending with the Brickyard 400 on July 27 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. All of the races will be broadcast on TNT.
