The Seattle Seahawks need all the help they can get at running back with Zach Charbonnet out for the season, and they’re taking no chances in terms of available depth.

Having brought back George Holani from injured reserve, the Seahawks also elevated Cam Akers and Velus Jones Jr to the game day roster for Sunday’s NFC Championship against the Los Angeles Rams. This gives the Seahawks four running backs available: Kenneth Walker III, Holani, Akers, and Jones. Holani, Akers, and Jones are also all kickoff return options.

While Akers and Jones maxed out their regular season practice squad elevations, those do not carry into the postseason, at which there are no limits to how many times a player can be elevated to the active roster.

No offensive lineman being elevated also bodes well for the health of backup left tackle Josh Jones, who was a full participant in Friday’s practice but was listed as questionable with a knee injury.

Seahawks vs. Rams game inactives will be announced about 90 minutes prior to the 3:30 pm PT kickoff.
