After two rounds at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler followed his opening 10-under 61 with an 8-under 63 for a 36-hole total of 18-under-par, building a six-shot lead, the largest halfway margin in tournament history, putting him firmly in contention for his first 2025 victory.
Despite a tiring day, Scheffler didn’t forget the fans. After finishing the third round, he made sure to show his appreciation by signing every piece of memorabilia. His touching deed won fans over.
“I absolutely love this guy, huge heart of gold. @scottscheffler Lord bless you!” A fan commented under the PGA Tour post on X(formerly Twitter).
Some fans designated him a role model for the younger generation. One wrote, “Wonderful example for kids and a great ambassador for the game.” Another posted, “My favorite athlete out there! Such a humble godly person! All athletes should take notes!”
Others wished him continued success. “Hope he wins the next 3 majors.” A fan tweeted.

One commended his patience after a dominating day, saying, “-23 signing autographs. What an absolute beast.”
Scheffler did face struggles in Round 3, carding bogeys at the 4th and 8th holes, missing five fairways, grappling with tricky green reads and closing with a 66.
But his autograph session ended the day with all smiles, probably also adding to the tally of his fans. One said, “This is awesome. Well done Scottie🔥🔥” while another typed “Great human being”.
