Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele was named the First Star of the Week, while Columbus Blue Jackets defender Zach Werenski was named the Third Star.
Seeing Dahlin secure the Second Star of the Week is entirely understandable. The star defenseman had a spectacular week, posting seven assists in just three games.
Dahlin’s best game of the week came against the New York Islanders, as he had four assists and a plus-4 rating in the Sabres’ 7-1 win. He then followed that up with two assists against the Chicago Blackhawks on Dec. 27 and a helper in Buffalo’s last game against the St. Louis Blues.
Dahlin now has six goals, 26 points, and a plus-9 rating in 29 games this season.
