#5. The Rock finally teased massive WWE return

In 2025, The Rock made his final appearance for the Stamford-based promotion when he, Travis Scott, and John Cena attacked Cody Rhodes at WWE Elimination Chamber in Toronto. The Final Boss was supposed to appear in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 41, but Dwayne Johnson disappeared from the product without an explanation.

Later, the 54-year-old veteran addressed why he hasn’t been around but never teased a return until recently. In an appearance on The Morning Shift, one of the hosts expressed how they wanted to witness The Rock make another entrance at The Grandest Stage of Them All.

The multi-time WWE World Champion promised the hosts that he would have them as guests when he returns to WrestleMania. While he didn’t mention which Mania, this was the first time Johnson teased a return to the Stamford-based promotion and mentioned The Showcase of the Immortals after his last appearance at Elimination Chamber.

#4. Good news for WWE’s Bayley – Report

Earlier this year, Bayley was written off television at Saturday Night’s Main Event in New York. The Role Model lost to Lyra Valkyria at Madison Square Garden and was brutally written off following the match with a beatdown. Later, Valkyria claimed that the 37-year-old veteran had left the promotion.

It was reported that Bayley’s contract ends sometime later this year, and The Role Model hasn’t signed a new deal with the company, which is why she was written off the weekly product. However, there’s a positive update on Bayley’s WWE future ahead of Sunday Night’s Main Event.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (WON), the Women’s Grand Slam Champion will most likely sign a new deal, as she was recently mentioned on the weekly product. After Saturday Night’s Main Event, Bayley competed at live events twice, but it’ll be interesting to see what’s next for The Role Model if she returns.

#3. Charlotte Flair wants to do a romantic storyline in WWE

Charlotte Flair has accomplished almost everything in the Stamford-based promotion since moving to WWE’s main roster. Except for the new mid-card titles, The Queen has conquered the women’s division on multiple occasions in the company.

Regardless of all her achievements, Flair hasn’t done a romantic storyline on the weekly product, and The Queen recently addressed it again. Speaking on Power Hour, the multi-time Women’s Champion revealed she has never been paired opposite a male star and would like to do it.

Earlier this year, Charlotte Flair stated she wants to do a romantic storyline and also win her 15th singles championship in the company. It’ll be intriguing to see which star will be paired with The Queen if the company ever does a romantic storyline.

#2. Official card for WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event 2026

Saturday Night’s Main Event was revived under Triple H’s creative leadership, and for the most part, the television special has been hit-or-miss. However, the company altered the special’s name for once, as it takes place on a Sunday.

Sunday Night’s Main Event is a few days away and takes place on 6th September at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The card features superstars from RAW and SmackDown, and four matches are officially confirmed for the show.

Official card for Sunday Night’s Main Event:

  1. Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton in a Singles match
  2. Oba Femi vs. The Vision’s Bron Breakker in a Singles match
  3. Baron Corbin vs. Lil Yachty in a Singles match with a 5-minute time limit
  4. Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley vs. Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab in a Six-woman tag team match

If Yachty survives, Trick Williams will get another shot at Baron Corbin’s United States Championship.

#1. Nikki Bella suffers wardrobe mishap on WWE SmackDown

Earlier this month, Nikki and Brie Bella turned on Paige at SummerSlam in Minnesota when the trio lost a six-woman tag team match to Fatal Influence. Unfortunately, Brie got injured during the match and hasn’t participated in the ongoing feud.

Meanwhile, The Anti-Diva has been appearing on the blue brand and recently faced Jacy Jayne for the Women’s United States Championship in a singles match. Sadly, the ghost from Paige’s past returned, as Nikki Bella appeared on the blue brand.

After the former Divas Champion lost to Jayne, The Fearless One attacked her former friend. During the beatdown, Paige accidentally pulled Bella’s baggy pants down, revealing what seemed to be shorts underneath. The screen didn’t fade to black, as it was a minor mishap.
