Roma have identified Christopher Nkunku as a potential signing for Gian Piero Gasperini in the final days of the transfer window.

The French striker, who can also play left-back, is on his way out of AC Milan, and the capital could be his next destination.

His eventual departure from the Rossoneri, however, depends on Jean-Philippe Mateta.

The Crystal Palace striker is Massimiliano Allegri’s top target, with sporting director Igli Tare finalizing the details to complete the deal.

As transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà reports, Roma are currently pushing for Nkunku’s approval. However, Roma isn’t the only club interested in the 1997-born player: Fenerbahce and Atlético Madrid are also interested.

This season, the former Leipzig player has made 19 appearances in all competitions for AC Milan, scoring five goals and providing two assists. Having arrived last summer for around €37 million, his time in Milan could soon come to an end.
