Rickie Fowler is hanging by a thread in the FedEx rankings. After the FedEx St. Jude Championship, only the top 50 golfers on the board move on to the BMW Championship, and Fowler is close to the cut line with a rank of 49.

Fowler was tied in sixth after the third round of play Saturday. Heading into Sunday, he aims to gradually climb the ranks. His chances don’t look so bad with a score of 6-under.

But even if he doesn’t make it, his wife, Allison Stokke, will know little about it. During an episode of Netflix’s “Full Swing” she revealed that Fowler doesn’t talk about his feelings much.

“It feels gut-wrenching sometimes. There’s probably quite a bit more silence than normal.” Stokke said.

“When we first met, I remember you were at the Masters. However, you finished wasn’t what you wanted,” she said to Fowler.

“I think he texted me, ‘Hey, how’s your day going?’ I’m like, ‘Wait, what?'” Stokke revealed to the camera. “I was just expecting complete anger, not texting me for a while or calling me for a while.”

Fowler revealed that he shares very little about his feelings with anyone, while Stokke is the complete opposite. She’ll even share her feelings with a stranger she just met if it becomes hard for her and can talk for hours with that person.

Fowler Is Focused on Getting Himself to Next Week

Fowler revealed on Saturday what his game plan for Sunday would be.

“We’ll be within hopefully decent distance where [we] put together another solid front nine and see if we can get ourselves in the mix for the back nine and final few holes and give ourselves a chance,” Fowler said.

“But it’s going to take a good round of golf. We’ll focus on trying to chase our way up the board. I need to play well tomorrow to get myself into next week.” he added.
