Reigns captured the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating CM Punk in the main event of WrestleMania 42. Penta had an impressive reign as Intercontinental Champion earlier this year but was dethroned by Chad Gable last month at SummerSlam 2026.

Rey Fenix opens up about getting to face his brother in WWE

SmackDown star Rey Fenix opened up about getting the chance to battle his brother on WWE television.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio ahead of the match, Fenix shared that getting to face Penta on RAW was an opportunity of a lifetime. He vowed to put everything he had into the match and noted that it was a dream come true.

“The opportunity is once in a lifetime. We understand. So, like, my brother understands the position we are in now. I have to put in double my energy, my soul, my body. Because this is not only a match; this is a dream. This is a dream come true for two brothers,” he said.

The two brothers spent a few years in All Elite Wrestling competing as The Lucha Bros before joining WWE. It will be interesting to see what lies ahead for Rey Fenix following his loss on WWE RAW.
