After the Boston Red Sox defeated the Chicago White Sox 14-2 at Guaranteed Rate Field on Thursday, the two teams will meet again on Friday for the second of this four-game series.
For the matchup, Boston will send Cooper Criswell to the mound while Chicago will counter with Garrett Crochet.

Criswell has been solid for Boston this year, considering he started the year with Triple-A Worcester. In 10 games (nine starts), he’s posted a 3.92 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP. Only two White Sox have recorded hits against him – Sosa (1-for-1) and Vaughn (1-for-2).
Crochet has been pretty good for Chicago, allowing just four total earned runs in his last six starts. In 13 starts this year, he’s posted a 3.49 ERA and 0.93 WHIP (sixth-best in baseball). He’s given up hits to just three Red Sox in his career – Dalbec (1-for-1), Devers (1-for-1 with a walk) and Refsnyder (1-for-2).
