Kylian Mbappé has had a challenging start to his time at Real Madrid after joining the club on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain this summer. As a result, one club chief is providing the forward with a boost of confidence.

The 25-year-old had a challenging El Clásico debut, with Real Madrid falling 4-0 to Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabéu on October 26. A few days later, their struggles continued with a 3-1 loss to AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League.

Despite the setbacks, Real Madrid responded strongly with a dominant 4-0 win over CA Osasuna before the FIFA international break. The pause might have been what the Frenchman needed as Mbappé scored a goal in Sunday’s 3-0 win over CD Leganés.
