The New York Rangers have recalled Brett Berard from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.

The Rangers have also assigned both Victor Mancini and Chad Ruhwedel to the Wolf Pack.

Through 16 games in the AHL, Berard has recorded seven goals, six assists and 13 points as he’s had a hot start to the season.

Berard is an explosive young forward who could provide a lot for the Rangers offensively if Peter Laviolette decides to insert him into the lineup.

It’s unclear what this means for Filip Chytil’s health status with him currently being listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
