The Rangers announced Saturday that they’ve acquired forward Lucas Edmonds from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for forward Ryder Korczak.
Edmonds was originally drafted by Tampa Bay with the No. 86 pick in the third round of the 2022 NHL Draft.
The 23-year-old has five points (one goal, four assists) over 26 games for the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League (AHL) this season. In three AHL seasons, Edmonds has recorded 25 goals and 23 assists (48 points) in 120 contests.
Korczak, 22, was drafted by New York with the No. 75 pick in the third round of the 2021 NHL Draft. He’s tallied 11 points with the Hartford Wolf Pack in 35 games this season. Over 107 career AHL games, Korczak has registered 12 goals with 31 total points.
