Puka Nacua has been in the news, and it hasn’t been the most positive of headlines, but for anyone saying that the Los Angeles Rams are in a bad spot because they have to pay Puka Nacua, I think we can push back on that.

The reason that Nacua is commanding such a massive contract extension is because he’s a been a top wide receiver in the league since the Rams drafted him. L.A. doesn’t NEED to extend him, he is still under contract, L.A. can franchise tag him in the future if needed, Les Snead and the team still have the option to trade Nacua.

So, in terms of Nacua and the football stuff, that’s all good.

In terms of Nacua getting into “trouble” or the controversies he’s faced several times over the last few months; that’s a different conversation.

“While it s unfortunate that Smith-Njigba is going continue to be a major thorn in San Francisco’s side for the foreseeable future, it could have the benefit of making the Seahawks and Rams less financially flexible.

The Rams are going to have a decision to make on Nacua eventually, and it would not be a big shock if he ends up signing a similarly expensive long-term deal. Both players are among the best receivers in the game and are both obviously a huge key to the successes both the Seahawks and Rams had last season.“

“Her lawyer notes that she’s withdrawing the request “to focus solely on the civil lawsuit, which is still moving forward.”

A judge temporarily denied the woman a restraining order after it was filed, citing the need for more information, with a hearing scheduled for April 14. Nacua is accused of leaving an imprint of his teeth on her shoulder after biting her, and also making an antisemitic comment while out on New Year’s Eve this past December.“

“To that end, LA has only been linked to one rookie quarterback prospect. LSU rookie quarterback prospect Garrett Nussmeier has shared that he is set to work out for the Horns.

Viewed as a prospect who could come off the board on Day 1 or fall to late Day 2, Nussmeier would be an instant, if not perfect, solution to LA’s lingering quarterback succession woes that face the team in the post-Stafford era. But this ‘leak’ feels disingenuous.“

Random Ramsdom Fandom:

“It’s been proven that 5th round WRs can start and be wildly successful, which means the “experts” aren’t always right. Not even close. I want them to take a WR but they can still get a game changer in round 3, if they don’t take one in round 1 or 2. Personally, I want and will always want a greyhound with height. I don’t know why they would take another receiver who is exactly like Puka or Davante. Get someone with a different skill set. I guess we’ll see what THEY think.“ -JeffinBranson
