Rafael Nadal may have retired from tennis in 2024, but he still remains hugely relevant today.
That is, not only within the tennis scene, but across the entire sporting landscape.
Naturally, his involvement in his own academy is helping to produce the next generation of tennis talent, but with so much more time on his hands, the Spaniard has dipped into padel as well as golf to fill his days.

It is the latter which has really caught his attention though, as it does so many other tennis players.
Nadal has now actually revealed that he has been offered to play at some of the pro-am events as well.
Rafael Nadal confirms he has had offers to play golf events
Speaking recently, in comments collected by Punto de Break, Nadal reemphasised his love for golf.
And, in doing so, he revealed that he has turned down offers to play at events, stating what he’d have to do first before he started accepting such invitations.

The 39-year-old claimed: “I watch golf every week, and my wife suffers from it (laughs). I saw Jon Rahm play this week in Riyadh, who achieved a spectacular final in the second round and almost won.

“I was sometimes tempted to play, because several times they wanted to give me an invitation. But so far, circumstances have not arisen.
“In the future, you never know, but I should feel like I’m playing without making a fool of myself and with the illusion of being able to at least compete, even if it’s only with myself.”
Carlos Alcaraz is another huge lover of golf
Whilst Nadal seemed laser-focused on tennis throughout his playing career, Carlos Alcaraz seems to be taking a far more relaxed approach.
Fortunately, it seems to be paying huge rewards, given the seven Grand Slam titles he has already won before the age of 23.

His love for golf has been well-documented in recent years, and just last year he shared when his passion for the sport emerged: “I started to play at the beginning of 2020. I just love playing. I used to go to hit some balls in the driving range when I was really, really young. I liked it, but since 2020, I just started to play more, to go on the course, to play some holes. I just fell in love with golf.

“I started to play more and more. I saw myself improving, so it engaged me even more to the golf, and it has me. I just feel really peaceful when I go out and play some golf on the golf course.”
